Creating Art To Diversify the Entertainment Industry and Amplify Women’s Voices
Miraya Burka is a New York-based actor, writer, and filmmaker. She is a 2022 graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a double major in Drama and Dramatic Writing and a minor in Film Production. She has studied at Lee Strasberg, RADA, Atlantic Theater Company, and Stonestreet Studios. She has worked at Sesame Workshop and The View.
Miraya finished directing her first short film out of school, “Luminosity,” which she wrote, acted in, and produced. She is currently working on her third feature-length script.
She is dedicated to aiding in the diversification of the film industry and amplifying women's voices, with a focus on writing and directing feminist-focused horror.
